Free checklist & auditGet the free BFCM checklist & auditProduct Data Exporter Pro is a popular choice for Shopify merchants needing to export product data in CSV format, especially for managing product IDs, variants, inventory, metafields, and attributes. However, merchants often look for alternatives as their needs evolve. Some may find the app's pricing unsustainable as their product catalog grows, or they might need more advanced features like direct integration with other platforms or more granular control over the export process. Others might seek a more user-friendly interface or enhanced support.
Export product ID, variants, inventory, options, metafields and 40+ attributes in CSV
This app is not directly comparable as its primary function is store migration and import, but in some scenarios it could be used to extract and transfer large amounts of product data from one store to another. It lacks the specific filtering and attribute selection features of Product Data Exporter Pro.
Best for Merchants that need to completely transfer store data between stores.
Metafields are the key to a unique storefront. Our app is the key to metafields. It's that simple.
If your primary reason for exporting product data revolves around managing metafields, Metafields Guru offers a comprehensive suite of tools for creating, updating, deleting, and displaying metafields. It allows you to export and import metafields via CSV, create backups, and migrate data between stores, providing a broader scope than just data export.
Best for merchants who heavily rely on metafields to enhance their product information and storefront experience.
Stop wasting hours editing your products, variants, or collections! Save time with a bulk edit app.
QuickEdit allows for bulk editing of product data, which implicitly includes exporting/analyzing product information to determine what needs to be changed. Its scheduling and revert features provide an extra layer of security when making large-scale changes.
Best for merchants needing to make frequent, scheduled bulk edits to their product catalog and requiring a safety net for those changes.
Merge separate products into one standard product with native variants – powered by AI.
While it doesn't directly replace the export functionality, Merges AI can reduce the need for extensive data manipulation by consolidating separate products into unified listings with native variants. If product data complexity is stemming from having too many fragmented listings, this could address the root cause.
Best for merchants struggling with product data inconsistencies arising from duplicate or fragmented product listings.
Delete duplicate products or duplicate variants. Remove duplicate SKUs, EANs with duplicate finder.
This app focuses on identifying and removing duplicate products and variants. While it doesn't export product data, it helps clean up your product catalog, which could simplify data management overall.
Best for merchants struggling with duplicate products or variants cluttering their inventory.
Seamless, automated tags for smart customer segmentation, workflows, and emails.
SC Customer Tagging focuses on customer data and tagging, not product data, so it isn't a direct alternative for Product Data Exporter Pro. However, understanding customer behavior related to specific products may indirectly inform decisions about product data management.
Best for merchants who prioritize understanding customer behavior and segmenting their audience based on product interactions.
This app is completely unrelated to product data export and management.
Best for merchants seeking to automate the creation and management of their shipping profiles.
Bulk edit products, prices & more-instant previews and one-click undo for any change. Schedule edits
EditEngine Bulk Product Editor offers a strong alternative with advanced filtering, custom CSV exports with selectable fields, and real-time previews. The one-click revert functionality is a significant advantage for risk mitigation.
Best for merchants who require granular control over their product data exports and need a safety net for bulk edits.
Multistore Inventory sync, product sync and order sync across multiple stores. Woocommerce available
Syncerize focuses on inventory synchronization across multiple stores. While not a direct replacement, it could reduce the need for frequent data exports if your goal is to maintain consistent inventory levels across different channels. Also syncs product details.
Best for merchants managing inventory and product details across multiple Shopify or WooCommerce stores.
With OwlBoss - Product Assistant, there are no more mistakes with your products
OwlBoss doesn't directly export data, but its ability to identify errors in product listings can be valuable for ensuring data accuracy before exporting for other purposes. It's a complementary tool rather than a replacement.
Best for merchants seeking to proactively identify and correct errors in their product data.
EditEngine Bulk Product Editor comes closest with its custom CSV export and advanced filtering. Metafields Guru is suitable if you specifically need to manage metafields. Other apps focus on different aspects of product data management.
Based on ratings and feature sets, EditEngine Bulk Product Editor seems to strike a good balance between functionality and user-friendliness with its real-time previews and one-click revert.
Metafields Guru is the clear choice for managing and exporting metafields, offering dedicated features for this specific purpose.
Consider your primary use case for exporting product data. Are you managing metafields, making bulk edits, or synchronizing inventory? Choose the app that best aligns with your specific needs.
None of the listed alternatives are explicitly free. You will need to check the Shopify App Store for other options and compare their feature sets and pricing.
