Free checklist & auditGet the free BFCM checklist & auditMany Shopify merchants seek alternatives to Wizship: Shipping protection to optimize costs, explore feature variations, or simplify the customer experience around package protection. Wizship stands out for its flexible pricing and customizable widget, but some merchants might find its lack of direct insurance underwriting a concern, preferring a more hands-off approach or a wider array of service options. Others might want more comprehensive returns management features integrated with shipping protection, seeking a unified solution for post-purchase issues. As stores scale, the desire for deeply integrated solutions and automated workflows becomes increasingly important, driving the search for alternative apps.
Increase revenue and customer trust by providing shipping protection in a seamless way
A clean & easy solution to sell open box returns directly on your site, in any condition.
DRIP helps you sell open-box returns by highlighting them on your product page. This can reduce losses from returned items but doesn't directly address shipping protection. Consider it if you struggle with selling returned items.
Best for merchants who want to improve sales of returned or open-box items through a dedicated widget.
Integrated Delhivery, Bluedart, DTDC, IndiaPost, Ekart, Smartr, Amazon Shipping, Xpressbees &more
ILS provides integrated shipping with Indian logistics providers, including label generation, return management, and order tracking. Consider this if you specifically need to streamline shipping and returns within India using local carriers and need GST invoice support.
Best for merchants primarily shipping within India who need integrated logistics, automated labels, and return management.
Advanced returns, exchanges, credit, and labels. Streamline return operations and reduce refunds.
ReturnZap focuses on streamlining returns and exchanges, offering features like a branded self-serve portal, automated labels, and store credit options. If you want to reduce refunds and improve customer retention through easy exchanges, ReturnZap is a great alternative.
Best for merchants who want an all-in-one solution for returns, exchanges, and store credit management to reduce refunds.
Your own Shipping protection to offset costs of Lost, Damaged or Stolen orders and build buyer trust
Shipping Protection —Shipcheck directly mirrors Wizship's core offering: merchant-controlled shipping protection. It lets you keep all insurance revenue and offers tiered pricing and customizable widgets. If you liked Wizship's concept but want to explore another option in this space, Shipcheck is a strong contender.
Best for merchants who want to retain control of shipping protection pricing and revenue without using a third-party insurance provider.
xCotton Post Purchase Guard boasts a high rating and a large number of reviews, potentially indicating a well-established and trusted service. While specific features are not listed, the high user satisfaction suggests a reliable and effective shipping protection solution.
Best for merchants seeking a popular and well-regarded shipping protection app with strong user feedback.
Similar to ReturnZap, PostCo focuses on returns and exchanges. Without a feature list, it's hard to tell exactly how it differs but this would still be a great alternative for managing returns and exchanges on Shopify.
Best for merchants prioritizing a returns and exchanges platform with a high user rating.
Protect customers’ purchases in transit and use, earn their loyalty, & profit through revenue share!
SureBright provides both shipping insurance and extended warranties with a revenue share model. Unlike Wizship and Shipcheck, SureBright handles the financial risk and claims, offering a more hands-off approach. This could be beneficial if you want to avoid managing claims directly.
Best for merchants seeking a hands-off solution where an external provider manages shipping insurance and extended warranties in exchange for a revenue share.
All-in-One returns platform with automated exchanges, refunds, store credit, and label generation
8returns offers an all-in-one returns platform with automation for exchanges, refunds, and label generation. It's similar to ReturnZap but emphasizes customizability and integration with the shopping experience. If you want granular control over the returns process, 8returns could be a good fit.
Best for merchants who need a highly customizable returns portal with advanced automation features for exchanges and refunds.
Digital Wallet. Offer cashbacks and enable customers to pay for orders via wallet.
Webkul Wallet Management doesn't directly replace Wizship's shipping protection but provides a digital wallet system for cashbacks and payments. This can improve customer loyalty, which indirectly reduces refund requests, but it's not a shipping-specific solution.
Best for merchants seeking to build customer loyalty through digital wallets and cashback programs rather than direct shipping protection.
Returbo, like ReturnZap and PostCo, focuses on returns and exchanges, and has a high user review, showing that many merchants have had success with this application.
Best for merchants looking for a returns management platform, backed by high user reviews.
