506 EasyScan SKU & Barcode vs Erply POS Integrationfor Shopify (2026)
506 EasyScan SKU & Barcode and Erply POS Integration both aim to help Shopify merchants manage inventory, but they serve very different purposes. EasyScan focuses on optimizing internal warehouse operations, particularly pick, pack, and fulfillment using barcode scanning. It boasts a high rating (5/5) and a substantial number of reviews (260), suggesting a well-received and mature product. Its strength lies in its built-in barcode and SKU generation capabilities, printing features, and order management tools tailored for warehouse efficiency. The app targets merchants looking to improve their order fulfillment accuracy and speed through barcode scanning and in-house inventory control. Erply POS Integration, on the other hand, acts as a connector between a Shopify store and the Erply POS system. Erply POS Integration focuses on data synchronization between Erply's POS system and Shopify. It aims to streamline operations for merchants already using Erply by automatically transferring sales, payments, and customer data from Shopify to Erply and syncing products and inventory from Erply to Shopify. However, it suffers from a very low rating (1.6/5) and very few reviews (6), indicating potential issues with functionality, support, or overall user experience. This suggests that, as of 2026, Erply POS Integration has significant areas for improvement. It is geared toward merchants deeply embedded in the Erply ecosystem who require a seamless integration with their Shopify storefront, but the rating casts serious doubts on the reliability of this integration.

Our Verdict
For most Shopify merchants, 506 EasyScan SKU & Barcode appears to be the stronger choice. Its high rating and established user base suggest a reliable solution for managing inventory and streamlining order fulfillment through barcode scanning. Its built-in features like SKU and barcode generation make it a standalone solution. Merchants struggling with pick, pack, and ship processes in their warehouse should seriously consider EasyScan.
Erply POS Integration is only suitable for merchants who are heavily invested in the Erply POS system and require seamless data synchronization between Shopify and Erply. However, the app's extremely low rating should raise significant concerns about its reliability and functionality. Before committing, thoroughly investigate the reported issues and consider alternative integration solutions, especially if data accuracy and stability are critical.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a merchant who doesn't currently use a POS system?
506 EasyScan SKU & Barcode is the better choice. It's a standalone solution for inventory and order fulfillment, whereas Erply POS Integration requires you to already be using the Erply POS system.
Which app is more likely to improve my order fulfillment speed?
506 EasyScan SKU & Barcode is specifically designed for faster order fulfillment through barcode scanning and efficient pick-and-pack processes. Erply POS Integration focuses on data synchronization, not necessarily order fulfillment speed.
What if I need to both scan barcodes and integrate with a separate POS?
You would need a more robust solution that combines the features of both apps, or potentially two different apps working together. As standalone products, these are not comprehensive enough.
Does 506 EasyScan SKU & Barcode replace a POS system?
No, 506 EasyScan SKU & Barcode does not replace a POS system. It enhances your inventory management and fulfillment processes within your warehouse but does not handle sales transactions at the point of sale. You would still need a separate POS system for that function.
Is Erply POS Integration easy to set up and use?
Based on its extremely low rating and limited reviews, the Erply POS Integration app appears to be difficult to set up and use or may have significant functional issues. Users report poor experiences or limited functionality, making it difficult to recommend.
