Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on running scheduled sales events and managing significant price reductions across their product catalog, 506 GetSale Bulk Discounts App is the better choice. Its bulk editing capabilities and automated price scheduling are geared towards efficiently handling large-scale sales. However, if a merchant's priority is to increase average order value through strategic upselling and cart maximization using free gifts, BOGO offers, and Buy X Get Y promotions, EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift is the more suitable option. Its focus on rules-based incentives directly addresses that need.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the specific discounting strategy and goals of the Shopify merchant. Those prioritizing broad price reductions and scheduled sales will find 506 GetSale more valuable, while those focused on incentive-based upselling will benefit more from EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift.
