506 GetSale Bulk Discounts App vs HP: Hide Price and Add to Cartfor Shopify (2026)
506 GetSale Bulk Discounts App and HP: Hide Price and Add to Cart both address pricing on Shopify stores but cater to entirely different needs. 506 GetSale is designed for merchants aiming to boost sales through strategic discounts and promotions. Its strength lies in bulk editing capabilities, scheduling, and showcasing discounts with features like countdown timers. The app is best suited for merchants seeking to increase conversion rates through time-sensitive offers and automated pricing adjustments. HP: Hide Price and Add to Cart, on the other hand, focuses on controlling catalog visibility based on user types, making it ideal for B2B businesses or merchants managing tiered pricing. This app's core function is to restrict access to pricing information and the add-to-cart button, either for specific customer segments or guest users. Our Verdict
Choosing between these apps depends entirely on your business needs. If your primary goal is to run promotional sales, manage bulk discounts, and create a sense of urgency for B2C customers, 506 GetSale Bulk Discounts App is the better choice. Its higher rating and significantly larger number of reviews also indicate strong user satisfaction.
However, if you operate a B2B business, need to hide prices from certain customers, or want to implement tiered pricing, HP: Hide Price and Add to Cart is the more suitable option. While it has fewer reviews, its core functionality directly addresses the requirements of businesses needing fine-grained control over price visibility. Therefore, the choice hinges on whether you need to boost sales or manage access to pricing information.
Common Questions
Can both apps be used simultaneously?
While technically possible, using both apps simultaneously could lead to conflicts. 506 GetSale changes prices for promotional purposes, while HP: Hide Price controls price visibility. It's best to choose the app that directly aligns with your primary pricing strategy.
Is 506 GetSale suitable for permanent price reductions?
While 506 GetSale *can* implement permanent price changes using a percentage discount, it is best suited for temporary sales and scheduled promotions. If you need a permanent change consider other Shopify Apps or editing the product price directly.
Does HP: Hide Price and Add to Cart work for wholesale customers?
Yes, HP: Hide Price and Add to Cart is particularly well-suited for wholesale customers. You can use customer tags to identify wholesalers and apply rules to hide prices or customize the add-to-cart button specifically for them.
Can 506 GetSale be used to offer quantity discounts?
The description doesn't explicitly state quantity discounts. It focuses on applying percentage or fixed discounts across products. You may require another app that specifically handles quantity discounts for that feature.
Is it easy to revert changes made by either app?
506 GetSale automatically reverts prices after a scheduled sale. HP: Hide Price and Add to Cart applies rule-based changes, so reverting involves removing or modifying those rules. Both allow for relatively easy reversal of changes within their intended functionalities.
