Our Verdict
Given the current data, Zigpoll Customer Surveys is the clear recommendation for most Shopify merchants in 2026. Its significantly higher rating and large number of positive reviews indicate a reliable and valuable app for gathering customer feedback and improving business strategies. 8Data's extremely low rating and minimal reviews raise serious concerns, making it a risky choice unless the merchant has a very specific and urgent need for supply chain management and is willing to potentially face significant issues. Until 8Data demonstrably improves its performance and reputation, Zigpoll offers a much safer and more proven solution for understanding and improving customer experiences.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Zigpoll boasts a 'no-code setup in seconds,' suggesting a very straightforward installation process. While 8Data provides no specific information about ease of setup, the complexity of supply chain data often implies a more involved configuration.
Which app provides more actionable insights?
Both apps claim to provide actionable insights. Zigpoll uses AI analytics on customer survey data to optimize business roadmaps and marketing spend. 8Data uses analytics to forecast demand and optimize stock levels. The choice depends on whether you prioritize customer-centric insights or operational efficiency insights.
Which app is better for a new Shopify store?
Zigpoll is likely the better choice for a new Shopify store. Understanding customer preferences early on is crucial. Addressing supply chain issues might be less pressing in the initial stages of a new store.
Which app is more likely to be reliable?
Zigpoll is far more likely to be reliable due to its overwhelmingly positive reviews and high rating. 8Data's 1/5 rating and only 2 reviews are significant red flags.
Which app integrates better with existing marketing tools?
Zigpoll explicitly states integration with the marketing stack, while 8Data does not mention any integration with marketing tools.
