8returns ‑ Returns portal vs Avoid Returns Pro by Cypherfor Shopify (2026)
8returns - Returns portal and Avoid Returns Pro by Cypher offer drastically different approaches to managing returns on Shopify in 2026. 8returns positions itself as an all-in-one return management solution, focusing on streamlining and automating the returns process, aiming to turn returns into a positive customer experience. It is likely aimed at merchants who value customer satisfaction and brand consistency, and who are comfortable managing returns as part of their business operations, seeking to optimize the process and gain insights. Avoid Returns Pro by Cypher, on the other hand, takes a preemptive approach by incentivizing customers to forgo returns altogether by offering discounts at the point of purchase. Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing customer experience, brand control, and data-driven insights into their returns process, 8returns - Returns portal is the clear choice. Its robust features, including a customizable returns portal, automated label generation, and customer retention options, provide a comprehensive solution for managing returns as an integral part of the customer journey. The 5-star rating with 30 reviews suggests strong user satisfaction. Conversely, Avoid Returns Pro by Cypher caters to merchants who primarily aim to reduce return volume quickly and are comfortable offering discounts to achieve this. It offers a simple, direct approach but lacks the sophistication and customer-centric features of 8returns. Given the zero reviews and lack of features beyond discount incentives, it presents a higher risk and limited value for merchants seeking a well-rounded returns management solution.
