8returns ‑ Returns portal vs ReturnZap Returns & Exchangesfor Shopify (2026)
Both 8returns and ReturnZap are highly-rated Shopify apps (5/5) focused on automating and improving the returns and exchanges process for merchants. They both offer self-serve returns portals, customizable branding options, and features for managing refunds, exchanges, and store credit. While both aim to reduce refunds and improve customer loyalty, ReturnZap seems to emphasize advanced features and broader geographical label support while 8returns focuses on a more holistic, brand-centric experience and detailed analytics. ReturnZap highlights its lack of per-return fees and volume limitations. 8returns positions itself as an all-in-one platform that practically handles returns on its own, with a strong emphasis on brand alignment and in-depth analytics for return reduction. ReturnZap, on the other hand, emphasizes advanced exchange capabilities, custom return policies, and deeper integration with Shopify returns. ReturnZap boasts wider label automation, covering the US, Canada, Australia, UK, and EU, while 8returns doesn't explicitly specify region support. Both apps target merchants looking to streamline returns, but the choice depends on specific priorities: brand control and analytics versus advanced functionality and international shipping capabilities.

ReturnZap is better suited for merchants needing advanced exchange options (even at different price points), greater control over return policy enforcement, and extensive international label automation across US, Canada, Australia, UK and EU.
