Our Verdict
The choice between 8returns and Umbrella depends heavily on the merchant's primary goal. If the priority is streamlining and optimizing the returns process to reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction after a purchase, 8returns is the more suitable choice. Its focus on automation, customization, and customer retention features like exchanges and store credit make it a powerful tool for improving the returns experience.
However, for merchants looking to generate additional revenue streams and maintain control over warranty offerings, Umbrella offers a compelling solution. By enabling in-house warranty management, Umbrella empowers merchants to offer customized protection plans, manage claims, and retain valuable customer data, ultimately boosting profitability and building stronger customer relationships. While both apps are highly rated, 8returns has a significantly larger number of reviews suggesting broader adoption and potentially more user feedback available for consideration.
