AAA: Recurring Memberships App vs Swish (formerly Wishlist King)for Shopify (2026)
In 2026, AAA: Recurring Memberships App and Swish (formerly Wishlist King) compete in the customer loyalty space on Shopify, but target distinct merchant needs. AAA focuses on facilitating recurring revenue through memberships. Swish, on the other hand, concentrates on enhancing the shopping experience and driving conversions through wishlists. This difference is significant as it dictates the core functionality and value proposition of each app. AAA will be relevant to businesses operating on a subscription model, or looking to introduce one. Swish positions itself as a holistic wishlist solution, aimed at improving customer engagement and sales optimization. Swish boasts a significantly higher number of reviews (273) and a perfect 5/5 rating compared to AAA's 4.6/5 rating with only 32 reviews. This suggests a broader user base and higher levels of satisfaction, although the review count difference is substantial and could indicate a more established presence and wider adoption for Swish. Swish also emphasizes ease of use with its free setup and customization service and integrations with platforms like Klaviyo, GA4, and Meta, indicating a strong focus on maximizing ROI from the app, without requiring extensive technical skills from the merchant. AAA's description provided is sparse, making a comparative assessment of usability and integration capabilities challenging.

Our Verdict
For merchants aiming to build a subscription or membership-based business model, AAA: Recurring Memberships App is likely the more direct solution, assuming it delivers on the core promise of managing recurring billing and memberships effectively. However, its limited information and relatively low number of reviews make it a riskier choice than Swish.
If the primary goal is to enhance the customer shopping experience, increase engagement, and boost sales through wishlists and personalized notifications, Swish (formerly Wishlist King) emerges as the stronger contender. Its high rating, substantial review count, free setup service, and integrations with popular marketing platforms provide a more compelling and potentially higher-ROI solution, especially for merchants seeking a turnkey wishlist system without requiring heavy technical involvement.
