AAA Wishlist App vs Recurpay: Subscriptions appfor Shopify (2026)
AAA Wishlist App and Recurpay: Subscriptions app, while both listed under the 'Customer loyalty' category on Shopify, serve drastically different purposes and target distinct merchant profiles. AAA Wishlist App aims to enhance the customer shopping experience by allowing them to create and manage wishlists, ultimately hoping to influence future purchasing decisions. It focuses on providing convenience and personalized shopping. Recurpay: Subscriptions app, on the other hand, is designed to drive recurring revenue through subscription-based models. It offers robust tools for subscription management, customer self-service, and payment automation, catering to merchants seeking predictable and consistent income streams. The primary distinction lies in their core functionalities: AAA Wishlist App focuses on pre-purchase customer engagement and product saving, while Recurpay centers around post-purchase recurring transactions. AAA Wishlist App seems geared towards merchants prioritizing customer convenience and product discoverability, while Recurpay is specifically for businesses offering subscription-based products or services. The stark difference in user ratings and review counts also reflects potentially differing levels of user satisfaction and app maturity. Recurpay's emphasis on 24/7 human support further sets it apart from AAA Wishlist App, which lacks any mention of such support.

Our Verdict
For merchants aiming to enhance the pre-purchase shopping experience and gather insights into customer preferences, AAA Wishlist App could be a basic solution. However, given the low rating and minimal reviews, merchants should proceed with caution and thoroughly investigate its functionality and support.
Recurpay: Subscriptions app is the clear choice for businesses looking to implement or optimize a subscription-based model. Its high rating, large number of reviews, comprehensive feature set, and emphasis on customer support make it a more reliable and robust option for managing recurring revenue and fostering customer loyalty through subscription services.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Recurpay claims a quick and easy setup within minutes. AAA Wishlist App's setup is not explicitly mentioned, but wishlist functionality is generally simpler to implement than a full subscription system.
Which app offers better customer support?
Recurpay offers 24/7 live human support, which is a significant advantage. AAA Wishlist App doesn't mention any specific customer support features.
Can both apps be used together?
While technically possible, it might be redundant. Wishlists and subscriptions address different stages of the customer journey. A subscription app might have basic wishlist-like functionality anyway or integrate with a better-rated wishlist app.
Which app focuses on customer retention?
Recurpay is explicitly focused on customer retention through recurring subscriptions and self-service options like skipping or rescheduling renewals. AAA Wishlist App contributes indirectly by enhancing the shopping experience.
Does AAA Wishlist App support subscription products?
AAA Wishlist App is designed for saving individual products. It doesn't directly support managing or wishlisting subscription services.
