A/B: Product and Price Testing vs Zigpoll Customer Surveysfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants choosing between A/B: Product and Price Testing and Zigpoll Customer Surveys face a decision between optimization strategies. A/B: Product and Price Testing aims to directly boost conversion rates and sales through A/B testing of product pages, pricing, and other elements, leveraging Shopify's infrastructure for speed. The app promises to minimize the impact on website load time while offering detailed analytics. On the other hand, Zigpoll Customer Surveys focuses on gathering customer feedback through various survey types (post-purchase, pre-purchase, NPS, etc.) delivered via multiple channels (on-site, email, SMS). It uses AI analytics to extract insights from zero-party data to improve business roadmap, marketing spend, and conversion rates. The key difference lies in their approach: A/B testing is direct and quantitatively driven, identifying the best-performing version of a page element. Customer surveys are indirect, providing qualitative data about customer preferences, pain points, and motivations. While both ultimately aim to improve sales, A/B: Product and Price Testing optimizes specific page elements, while Zigpoll informs broader business and marketing strategies through customer insights. The review data strongly favors Zigpoll at this point.

Our Verdict
Based on the data available, Zigpoll Customer Surveys appears to be the stronger choice for most Shopify merchants in 2026. The app boasts a perfect 5-star rating based on a substantial 417 reviews, signaling high user satisfaction and reliability. A/B: Product and Price Testing, on the other hand, has no rating and only 17 reviews, indicating it may be a new or less reliable app.
Merchants looking to directly optimize their product pages and pricing through controlled A/B testing *might* consider A/B: Product and Price Testing *if* they're willing to take a risk on a newer app and have strong technical skills to troubleshoot any issues. However, the lack of positive user feedback is concerning. For most merchants seeking a proven way to understand their customers and improve their overall business strategy, Zigpoll is the clear winner, offering a well-reviewed platform for gathering and analyzing customer feedback through surveys. The post-purchase survey functionality and AI analytics provide valuable insights into the customer journey and areas for improvement.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim to offer easy, no-code setup. However, Zigpoll emphasizes "no-code setup in seconds," suggesting a potentially quicker and more user-friendly onboarding experience. Without user reviews to support A/B's claim, Zigpoll's experience looks more reliable.
Which app is better for improving conversion rates?
Both apps indirectly aim to improve conversion rates. A/B: Product and Price Testing directly tests elements like pricing and product page layouts. Zigpoll provides customer insights that can be used to optimize marketing, product development, and overall customer experience, ultimately leading to increased conversions.
Which app is more suitable for a beginner Shopify merchant?
Zigpoll is likely more suitable for a beginner Shopify merchant due to its positive reviews and reputation for ease of use. The AI analytics feature also provides valuable insights without requiring advanced analytical skills. The low review count and absence of a rating for A/B makes it a riskier choice.
Can I use both apps together?
Yes, you could potentially use both apps together. You could use Zigpoll to gather customer feedback and identify areas for improvement, then use A/B: Product and Price Testing to test specific changes based on those insights. This would involve a more complex strategy, requiring more time and resources.
Which app offers better value for money?
Without pricing information, it's impossible to definitively say which app offers better value. However, given Zigpoll's positive reviews and wide range of features, it's likely to provide a better return on investment for most merchants. A/B: Product and Price Testing would need to be significantly cheaper to justify the risk associated with its lack of positive feedback.
