AC: Sold Out Push Down & Hide vs Collection Sort & Category |KXfor Shopify (2026)
AC: Sold Out Push Down & Hide directly addresses the problem of managing out-of-stock products within Shopify collections. Its strength lies in its simplicity and focus: automatically hiding or pushing sold-out items to the bottom of collections, and then restoring them when inventory is replenished. It appears to be targeted at smaller merchants or those who want a straightforward solution to out-of-stock management. The low number of reviews suggests it may be a newer app or one with a niche audience. Collection Sort & Category |KX, on the other hand, is a comprehensive AI-powered merchandising platform designed for larger businesses, particularly fashion brands, with extensive product catalogs. It emphasizes automated collection sorting, personalized product recommendations, and A/B testing, aiming to optimize conversions and profitability through sophisticated merchandising techniques. The primary distinction lies in the scope and complexity of the solutions. AC: Sold Out Push Down & Hide is a focused utility for basic inventory management within collections. Collection Sort & Category |KX is a full-fledged merchandising platform using AI to enhance the customer experience and boost sales through advanced features like smart collection building and personalized recommendations. Therefore, merchants must assess their needs and technical capabilities before deciding. Based on the description, Collection Sort & Category |KX also provides options for A/B testing and personalized product recommendations for email campaigns, expanding outside of on-site collection management. While AC: Sold Out Push Down & Hide provides the Auto tag sold-out or hidden products, this functionality might not be as powerful as Collection Sort & Category |KX's advanced analytics functions.
