AccessEz‑ Accessibility Widget vs Qe: Speechify | Voice Searchfor Shopify (2026)
AccessEz‑ Accessibility Widget and Qe: Speechify | Voice Search both fall under the 'Accessibility' category on the Shopify app store, but they address fundamentally different needs. AccessEz focuses on comprehensive accessibility compliance with established standards like ADA, AODA, and WCAG. It offers a range of customizable accessibility profiles and features designed to make a store usable by individuals with disabilities, such as visual impairments, dyslexia, or seizure disorders. This positions AccessEz as a tool for merchants prioritizing legal compliance and inclusivity for a wider customer base. Qe: Speechify | Voice Search, on the other hand, centers on enhancing the shopping experience through voice technology. It provides voice search functionality and audio instructions, aiming to create a user-friendly and innovative interface. While it touches on accessibility through audio assistance, its primary focus is on improving user engagement and setting a store apart with a cutting-edge experience. This makes Speechify more suitable for merchants looking to experiment with novel features and attract tech-savvy customers, rather than solely focusing on fundamental accessibility compliance. The significant difference in ratings and number of reviews between the two apps further reinforces that AccessEz has been more well-received by its users.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing accessibility compliance and creating a genuinely inclusive shopping experience for customers with disabilities, AccessEz‑ Accessibility Widget is the clear choice. Its strong rating, positive reviews, and comprehensive feature set geared toward ADA, AODA, and WCAG compliance make it a reliable option. The wide array of Accessibility Profiles make the store much easier to use for various disabled groups.
Qe: Speechify | Voice Search might appeal to merchants aiming to differentiate their store with innovative voice search technology. However, the extremely low rating and single review suggest caution. Unless a merchant is particularly interested in being an early adopter of this specific voice search technology and willing to accept potential drawbacks, AccessEz offers a more established and proven solution for accessibility needs.
Common Questions
Which app is better for ADA compliance?
AccessEz‑ Accessibility Widget is specifically designed to support ADA, AODA, and WCAG compliance. Qe: Speechify focuses on voice search, not comprehensive accessibility compliance.
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim ease of use. AccessEz indicates that it is 'easy to configure and adaptable'. Qe: Speechify says you can 'Effortlessly integrate the voice search functionality'. In absence of direct comparison, it's hard to determine which is definitively easier, but based on rating and reviews, AccessEz likely offers a more straightforward experience.
Can both apps be used together on the same Shopify store?
Technically, yes. However, it's important to consider whether the added complexity is necessary. If the primary goal is accessibility compliance, AccessEz might be sufficient on its own. Qe: Speechify might be considered as an additional feature for enhancement after the core accessibility is taken care of.
Which app provides more options for customization?
Both apps offer customization options. AccessEz allows you to customize widget appearance, colors, and languages. Qe: Speechify lets you tailor the widget design to match your store's branding and theme.
Which app is more likely to increase sales?
It's difficult to predict sales increases definitively. AccessEz improves the shopping experience for disabled users, potentially leading to increased sales from that segment. Qe: Speechify aims to improve engagement through voice search, which could also lead to sales increases, but this relies on whether your target audience uses voice search. Based on the reviews, AccessEz is the safer choice.
