Our Verdict
The choice between Accessibility Way and OneID depends entirely on the merchant's business needs. If a store sells age-restricted products like alcohol, tobacco, or certain digital content, OneID Age Verification is essential for legal compliance and a smooth customer experience. Its focus on quick and secure age checks, integration with popular payment methods, and post-checkout verification makes it a valuable tool. However, if the merchant doesn't sell age-restricted products, OneID offers no benefit. Accessibility Way is critical for merchants who want to be accessible to everyone and mitigate the risk of legal issues related to non-compliance. It enhances the store experience for customers with disabilities and helps the business be more inclusive. Therefore, the merchant should choose Accessibility Way when accessibility and potential litigation are key concerns, and OneID only when age verification is a legal requirement for their product category.
