AClone: Backup & Duplicate vs Mipler — Advanced Reportsfor Shopify (2026)
AClone: Backup & Duplicate and Mipler — Advanced Reports, while both falling under the 'Operations' category on Shopify, serve drastically different purposes. AClone focuses on data protection and store duplication, enabling merchants to easily backup, clone, or duplicate their entire Shopify store for data security, test environments, or multi-store expansion. Mipler, on the other hand, is a reporting and analytics app, providing merchants with the ability to build custom reports and dashboards to visualize and analyze store performance using various data points, including metafields and tags. The key difference lies in their core functionality: AClone is about replicating and safeguarding your store data, while Mipler is about understanding and acting upon it. AClone appeals to merchants concerned with data loss, testing new features in a safe environment, or scaling to multiple stores. Mipler targets merchants who need detailed insights into their store's performance and require custom reporting capabilities to track key metrics and make data-driven decisions. The significant difference in the number of reviews (5 vs. 492) also suggests Mipler has a much wider adoption and potentially a more established track record within the Shopify ecosystem.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing data protection, creating test stores to safely experiment with new features, or expanding their business to multiple Shopify stores, AClone: Backup & Duplicate is the clear choice. Its focus on automated backup, restoration, and duplication provides essential tools for safeguarding and replicating store data. However, Mipler — Advanced Reports is the superior option for merchants who need in-depth analytics, custom reporting capabilities, and the ability to track specific metrics related to sales, finance, customers, and inventory. The availability of an AI assistant and the ability to share reports via public links are also valuable assets for data-driven decision-making. A merchant might even consider using both apps -- AClone for core data management and Mipler for business intelligence.
