Addify ‑ Approve New Customers vs HOOK Social Loginfor Shopify (2026)
Addify - Approve New Customers and HOOK Social Login both aim to improve the customer accounts and login experience on Shopify stores, but they approach it from entirely different angles. Addify focuses on granting merchants greater control over who creates accounts, allowing for manual approval and validation based on customer tags, effectively creating an exclusive community or managing specific customer types like B2B or wholesalers. HOOK Social Login, on the other hand, prioritizes ease of access and user experience by offering one-tap login through popular social media platforms, removing the need for traditional sign-up forms. Our Verdict
For merchants running B2B or wholesale businesses, or those needing to curate an exclusive community, Addify - Approve New Customers provides essential tools to manage account creation and customer segmentation. The manual approval process and tag-based validation ensure that only qualified customers gain access. In contrast, HOOK Social Login is ideal for merchants focused on maximizing conversion rates and reducing friction in the customer journey. By offering one-tap login via social media, HOOK simplifies the account creation process and encourages more customers to engage with the store. For a high-volume retail business with less stringent customer requirements, HOOK is likely the better choice.
