Addify ‑ Buy for Me vs Discounts Hub Unique Discountfor Shopify (2026)
Addify ‑ Buy for Me and Discounts Hub Unique Discount are Shopify apps in the 'Promotions - Other' category, but they address very different needs. Addify ‑ Buy for Me focuses on improving the shopping experience by enabling customers to request others to purchase items on their behalf, essentially a wish list with a direct purchase request mechanism. It allows customization of the 'Buy For Me' button and email messages, aiming to increase visibility and potentially drive sales through gift-giving. Discounts Hub Unique Discount, on the other hand, concentrates on providing a wide range of customizable discounts beyond the standard Shopify offerings, targeting merchants who want to incentivize purchases with complex and targeted promotional strategies. The primary difference lies in their core function: Addify facilitates a social buying experience, while Discounts Hub focuses on providing diverse discounting options. Addify's strength lies in its novelty and potential for viral marketing, appealing to merchants targeting gift-giving occasions. Discounts Hub's strength is its comprehensive suite of discounting tools, suitable for merchants looking to implement sophisticated promotions to boost sales and customer loyalty. The lack of reviews for Addify raises concerns, while Discounts Hub enjoys a perfect rating and a decent number of reviews, suggesting higher reliability and user satisfaction.

Our Verdict
Discounts Hub Unique Discount appears to be the more reliable choice, given its positive reviews and proven track record. It is suited for merchants who require a robust set of discounting tools and want to implement complex promotional strategies. Addify ‑ Buy for Me, while offering a unique feature, is a riskier choice due to the lack of reviews. However, it might be worth considering for merchants who specifically want to leverage social gifting and are willing to be early adopters, particularly if they target gift-giving occasions.
For merchants prioritizing proven functionality and a comprehensive discounting solution, Discounts Hub Unique Discount is the clear winner. If the merchant sees an opportunity to specifically drive sales via social requests (e.g., products popular as gifts) and is willing to take a chance on an unproven app, Addify ‑ Buy for Me *might* be worth a small test.
