Addify ‑ Buy for Me vs Kite Discount, Free Gift, BOGOfor Shopify (2026)
Addify - Buy for Me and Kite Discount, Free Gift, BOGO are both Shopify apps aiming to enhance the shopping experience, but they target vastly different aspects. Addify focuses on social shopping, enabling customers to easily request purchases from friends and family. It aims to improve product visibility and ease gifting. While both technically fall under the 'Promotions - Other' category, Kite directly impacts sales conversions via discounts and incentives, whereas Addify enhances the social aspect of shopping and gifting. Their target merchants differ significantly: Addify is designed for smaller merchants looking to experiment with social features. Kite appeals to larger businesses focused on scaling sales and A/B testing different promotion types.

Our Verdict
Kite Discount, Free Gift, BOGO is clearly the superior choice for merchants seeking a proven and versatile tool to drive sales through various discount promotions. The vast array of features, from BOGO offers to progress bars, allows for comprehensive promotional strategies.
Addify - Buy for Me might be suitable for merchants exploring innovative social shopping features and looking to enhance gifting experiences. However, its lack of reviews makes it a risky choice compared to Kite. It might be a viable option for merchants with a specific focus on assisted purchasing or gifting, but it's important to thoroughly test and validate its effectiveness before relying on it heavily. Merchants primarily focused on revenue generation should strongly consider Kite.
