Addify ‑ Buy for Me vs Lably—Product Labels & Badgesfor Shopify (2026)
Addify ‑ Buy for Me and Lably—Product Labels & Badges are both listed under the 'Promotions - Other' category on Shopify, but they cater to fundamentally different needs. Addify aims to enhance the shopping experience by allowing customers to request purchases from others, focusing on social sharing and alternative purchasing methods. It emphasizes customization of the 'Buy For Me' button and email messages. Lably, on the other hand, concentrates on visual merchandising, providing product labels and badges to draw attention to products and incentivize purchases, particularly during sales and holidays. The critical distinction lies in their core functionality. Addify is about enabling a 'wishlist' or gift-requesting functionality within the store, targeting merchants who want to add a social or gifting element to their sales. Lably is a purely visual tool intended to boost conversion rates through eye-catching labels and badges. Given the disparity in ratings and reviews, Lably appears to be the more established and favorably received app. The feature set of Addify seems limited compared to Lably's robust library of label designs and display conditions.

Our Verdict
Lably—Product Labels & Badges is the stronger choice for merchants whose primary goal is to increase conversion rates through visual promotions. With its high rating and numerous positive reviews, along with its extensive library of label designs and customizable display conditions, it's a more reliable option. Addify ‑ Buy for Me, while interesting in concept, lacks social proof (no reviews) and appears to offer a niche feature set.
If a merchant specifically needs a 'Buy for Me' or gift request feature, Addify might be worth experimenting with, but with caution due to the absence of user feedback. However, given the limited information, it's difficult to wholeheartedly recommend Addify over Lably unless that specific functionality is critical to the store's strategy.
