Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with minimizing shipping errors due to incorrect addresses and reducing related customer support costs, Address Validator AddressHero is the more suitable choice. Its universal compatibility with Shopify plans and express checkouts makes it a relatively easy-to-implement solution for businesses of any size. However, if a merchant's priority is optimizing delivery scheduling, automating fulfillment processes, and reducing the burden of manual order management, Flare: Delivery Date Picker offers a more comprehensive suite of features. Flare is particularly beneficial for high-volume businesses with complex logistics and a need for robust integration with shipping and fulfillment partners. While both address shipping-related pain points, they tackle fundamentally different areas of the process.
Common Questions
Does AddressHero guarantee delivery?
No, AddressHero validates the address to minimize errors but cannot guarantee successful delivery due to factors outside of address accuracy (e.g., customer availability, unforeseen shipping delays).

Flare integrates with several popular shipping platforms like FedEx and UPS. Verify specific carrier compatibility with Flare's documentation for the most up-to-date information.
Can AddressHero be used for international addresses?
AddressHero is designed to detect incorrect addresses which makes it applicable for international addresses. However, verify specific country coverage with AddressHero's documentation.
Is Flare suitable for small businesses with simple delivery needs?
Flare's advanced features may be overkill for small businesses with very basic delivery requirements. However, if a small business plans to scale and anticipates more complex logistics, Flare could be a worthwhile investment.
Which app is easier to set up?
