Addributes vs Humanmarkfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Addributes and Humanmark offer distinct approaches to enhancing the Shopify checkout experience, despite both residing in the 'Checkout - Other' category. Addributes, with a perfect 5/5 rating based on 28 reviews, likely provides a generally useful and well-received solution, though its specific functionality is not detailed in the provided data. Humanmark, on the other hand, targets a very specific problem: preventing bot purchases. It focuses on hardware-backed human verification at checkout, utilizing a mobile app and biometrics to ensure real customers are making the purchases. This is especially relevant for merchants selling limited-edition or high-demand products prone to bot scalping. Humanmark prides itself on not collecting customer data and uses Shopify Flow for automated payment capture or order cancellation, suggesting it may be integrated into Shopify Plus stores heavily utilizing automation. The significant difference lies in their target audiences and value propositions. Addributes, based on its positive rating and reviews, likely offers broader appeal and usability. Humanmark's niche focus, while potentially invaluable to merchants struggling with bot attacks, might be overkill for stores without that issue. Humanmark's requirement for customer mobile app verification introduces a potential friction point in the checkout process, which may deter some customers. The absence of reviews and a 0/5 rating might indicate that the app is either very new or has usability issues that have yet to be addressed by the developer community.

Our Verdict
If you are experiencing significant issues with bots purchasing your products, especially those in high demand or limited quantities, Humanmark is worth exploring despite its lack of reviews. Its hardware-backed verification provides a robust solution. However, be prepared for potential customer friction due to the mobile app requirement. Its Shopify Flow integration is a plus for larger stores. On the other hand, if your checkout is functioning well and you don't have a bot problem, Addributes (assuming it offers general checkout improvements) is likely a safer bet due to its established positive reviews and higher rating. Without more details on what Addributes specifically does, it's difficult to give a more decisive recommendation, but the presence of positive user feedback suggests it provides tangible value.
