Our Verdict
Adoric Popup & Email Popups is the better choice for merchants seeking a comprehensive and well-regarded pop-up solution to improve conversion rates across various areas, including email collection, upselling, and cross-selling. Its high rating and numerous reviews suggest a reliable and effective tool. Apps Mav: Scratch and WIN! might appeal to merchants specifically seeking a gamified approach to email list building and referral traffic, potentially for a limited-time campaign, but the lower rating and fewer reviews suggest a less proven and potentially riskier option. Merchants prioritizing a proven track record and a wider range of features should choose Adoric; those willing to experiment with a gamified approach and prioritize zero-party data collection might consider Apps Mav, but with caution.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Adoric likely offers a more streamlined experience with its ready-to-use widgets and automated strategies. Apps Mav, focusing on a single pop-up type, may also be easy to use, but the user interface and setup process may not be as mature as Adoric's.
Which app is better for increasing average order value (AOV)?
Adoric is explicitly designed to increase AOV with features like Cart Upsells, Cross sells, and Frequently Bought Together pop-ups. Apps Mav could indirectly increase AOV through coupon distribution, but it's not a primary focus.
Which app is better for collecting email addresses?
Both apps are designed to collect email addresses. Adoric offers various methods, including welcome pop-ups and exit-intent pop-ups. Apps Mav incentivizes email sign-ups with the chance to win via the scratch card mechanic. The effectiveness of each approach will depend on the specific store and target audience.
What type of zero-party data collection does each app support?
Adoric doesn't explicitly mention zero-party data collection. Apps Mav allows for collecting zero-party data through custom form fields in the scratch card pop-up.
Which app has better customer support?
It is impossible to definitively say without further information. However, a high rating combined with a high number of reviews (Adoric) is often correlated with better customer support, as satisfied customers are more likely to leave positive reviews.
