Adoric Popup & Email Popups vs Free Shipping Bearfor Shopify (2026)
Adoric Popup & Email Popups and Free Shipping Bear both aim to increase sales through on-site notifications and pop-ups, but they take drastically different approaches. Adoric is a comprehensive solution focusing on capturing emails, offering discounts, and upselling through various pop-up types like exit-intent popups, spin-the-wheel, and related product suggestions. It's a Swiss Army knife for on-site conversion optimization, offering broad functionality and customization. Free Shipping Bear, on the other hand, is a laser-focused app specifically designed to motivate customers to spend more by emphasizing free shipping offers through a cart progress bar. The primary difference lies in scope. Adoric aims to address multiple conversion roadblocks through a wide array of pop-up types and strategies. It seeks to capture leads, increase AOV, and prevent cart abandonment. Free Shipping Bear solely focuses on leveraging the incentive of free shipping to drive higher AOV. Choosing between them depends on the merchant's priorities: a need for broad conversion optimization versus a desire to specifically boost AOV through free shipping incentives. Furthermore, Adoric offers more features (upsells, cross-sells, email capture, etc) for merchants that require multiple methods for improving conversion.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a broad solution to address various conversion challenges, Adoric Popup & Email Popups is the better choice. Its versatility in creating different popup types, capturing emails, and offering upsells/cross-sells provides a comprehensive approach to optimizing the customer journey. However, if the primary goal is to increase AOV by strategically offering free shipping, Free Shipping Bear's straightforward and focused approach is more efficient and easier to implement.
Ultimately, the decision depends on the merchant's needs and resources. A larger store with complex conversion challenges may benefit from Adoric's comprehensive features, while a smaller store with a specific focus on AOV might find Free Shipping Bear more effective. Consider also the time investment; setting up and optimizing Adoric will likely require more effort than Free Shipping Bear.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?

Adoric Popup & Email Popups is significantly better for growing an email list, as it offers dedicated email capture popups and forms, including welcome and exit-intent options.
Which app is better for increasing Average Order Value (AOV)?
While both apps aim to increase AOV, Free Shipping Bear directly targets it by visually emphasizing the free shipping threshold. Adoric can also increase AOV through upsell and cross-sell popups, but its approach is less direct.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Yes, you can technically use both apps simultaneously. However, it's crucial to ensure the pop-ups and notifications don't overlap or create a confusing user experience. A carefully planned strategy is needed.
Which app offers more design customization options?
Adoric Popup & Email Popups likely offers more design customization options, as it needs to support a wider range of popup types and styles. Free Shipping Bear, with its single cart progress bar, may have more limited customization options.
