Adoric Popup & Email Popups and Howdy Customer Tag Discount, while both aiming to improve sales for Shopify merchants, tackle vastly different areas. It aims to increase average order value (AOV), collect email addresses for marketing, and prevent cart abandonment. It positions itself as an easy-to-use tool with automated strategies and design customization. Howdy Customer Tag Discount, on the other hand, appears laser-focused on discount strategies tied to customer tags. While the provided information lacks specific details about its features, the name suggests it allows merchants to offer targeted discounts based on how customers are categorized (e.g., loyal customers, new subscribers). Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on growing their email list, preventing cart abandonment, and increasing AOV through upselling and cross-selling techniques, Adoric Popup & Email Popups is the clear choice. Its broader feature set and higher number of positive reviews indicate wider adoption and a more comprehensive conversion optimization solution.
However, if a merchant already has a well-defined customer segmentation strategy and needs a specific tool to offer discounts based on customer tags, Howdy Customer Tag Discount might be a suitable option. But, given the limited information and lower review count, thorough research and potentially a trial period would be crucial before committing. Adoric addresses a larger set of marketing needs than Howdy, based on this data.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Adoric claims to be 'fully automated' and 'easy-to-use'. Without more information, it's hard to compare directly to Howdy Customer Tag Discount, which does not make claims about ease of use in the provided text. Adoric seems targeted at ease of setup.
Which app is better for increasing AOV?
Adoric offers features like cart upsells, cross-sells, and frequently bought together popups, which are directly aimed at increasing AOV. Howdy Customer Tag Discount *could* increase AOV by encouraging repeat purchases with targeted discounts, but this is indirect and not its primary function according to the provided information.
Which app is better for lead generation?
Adoric explicitly focuses on email collection through welcome popups and exit-intent forms. Howdy Customer Tag Discount doesn't appear to directly contribute to lead generation based on the provided information. So, Adoric is clearly the better app for lead generation of the two.
Can these apps be used together?
Potentially, yes. Adoric could be used to attract customers and collect email addresses, while Howdy Customer Tag Discount could then be used to offer targeted discounts to specific segments of those customers. However, merchants need to carefully plan their strategies to avoid conflicting promotions or confusing customer experiences.
Which app has more long-term value?
Based on the described feature sets and reviews, Adoric likely has more long-term value for most stores. While targeted discounts based on customer segments are valuable, the broader conversion optimization features offered by Adoric are applicable to a wider range of businesses and address more fundamental needs in the online sales process.
