Adtraction ‑ Partner Marketing vs Roster: Ambassador Marketingfor Shopify (2026)
Adtraction ‑ Partner Marketing and Roster: Ambassador Marketing both aim to boost online sales through partner marketing but employ different strategies. Adtraction connects merchants with a broad network of affiliates, influencers, and comparison sites within the existing Adtraction platform. Its strength lies in its automated tracking and payment systems tailored to the Adtraction network. This makes it suitable for merchants seeking to leverage an established affiliate marketing platform. Roster, on the other hand, focuses on building and nurturing a brand ambassador community. Its features are geared towards recruiting, engaging, rewarding, and measuring the performance of brand ambassadors. Roster provides tools to identify and motivate passionate customers to become advocates. This approach suits merchants who prioritize building a strong brand image through word-of-mouth and user-generated content. The primary difference is that Adtraction plugs you into an existing network, while Roster helps you create your own. Adtraction requires an existing Adtraction advertiser account to function, indicating a reliance on their external ecosystem. Roster is a self-contained solution that focuses on developing your own ambassador network.

Our Verdict
If a merchant already has or plans to acquire an Adtraction advertiser account and wants to tap into an established network of affiliates and influencers with a commission-based payment model, Adtraction ‑ Partner Marketing could be a suitable option. However, the lack of reviews and a 0/5 rating raises concerns about its reliability and usability.
Roster: Ambassador Marketing is better suited for merchants who prioritize building a loyal brand ambassador community and are looking for tools to recruit, engage, and reward their ambassadors. Its higher rating and existing reviews indicate a potentially more positive user experience and a focus on cultivating brand loyalty rather than simply driving sales through a broad network.
