Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with accurate shipping cost calculations, handling multiple shipping origins, or requiring product-specific shipping rules, Advanced Shipping Rate Manager is the clear choice. Its robust feature set and focus on cost optimization make it suitable for businesses with complex shipping needs. However, if the primary goal is to address customer anxieties about delivery times and improve conversion rates by building trust and urgency, EDDer: Estimated Delivery Date is the more effective solution.
It's important to note that the two apps can be complementary. A merchant could use Advanced Shipping Rate Manager to calculate accurate shipping rates and then integrate EDDer (or another similar app) to display the estimated delivery date based on those rates. While Advanced Shipping Rate Manager boasts a perfect rating, the difference of 0.6 could suggest that the increased complexity of the app creates friction for some users, where EDDer’s more simple purpose and functionality leads to a more streamlined experience overall.
