Advanced Shipping Rate Manager vs Quiverfor Shopify (2026)
Advanced Shipping Rate Manager and Quiver address vastly different needs in the Shopify shipping landscape. Advanced Shipping Rate Manager positions itself as a comprehensive, customizable shipping solution for merchants who require granular control over their shipping rates and rules. Its strength lies in its ability to handle complex scenarios involving product-specific rates, location-based rules, and integration with numerous carriers. This makes it ideal for businesses shipping a wide variety of products, operating from multiple locations, or dealing with complex logistical requirements. The US-based support further enhances its appeal. Quiver, on the other hand, focuses on ultra-fast, localized delivery within select cities (currently London and Paris), promising same-hour delivery and emissionless operations. Its primary strength is its ability to offer immediate gratification to customers, potentially boosting conversion rates and customer satisfaction. The core difference lies in their scope and target audience. Advanced Shipping Rate Manager offers broad, customizable control over a wide range of shipping scenarios, appealing to established businesses with complex needs. Quiver offers a highly specialized service, catering to merchants seeking to offer immediate delivery within specific geographic areas and prioritizing sustainability. While Advanced Shipping Rate Manager allows merchants to define rates based on various factors, Quiver handles the entire logistics of immediate delivery within its service area. The choice depends entirely on whether the merchant needs comprehensive shipping control across a wide geographic area or extremely fast, localized delivery.

Our Verdict
For merchants requiring a comprehensive and customizable shipping solution with granular control over rates, rules, and carriers, Advanced Shipping Rate Manager is the clear choice. Its extensive features, positive reviews, and robust support system make it a reliable option for businesses dealing with complex shipping scenarios and those needing to ship globally.
However, for businesses located in London or Paris seeking to offer immediate, emissionless delivery to their local customers, Quiver is the more appropriate solution. Its unique value proposition of same-hour delivery can significantly enhance customer satisfaction and conversion rates, particularly for businesses where speed is a critical factor. However, be aware of its limited service area and relatively few reviews compared to Advanced Shipping Rate Manager.
Common Questions
Can Advanced Shipping Rate Manager offer same-day delivery like Quiver?
Advanced Shipping Rate Manager can calculate rates for same-day delivery if your chosen carriers offer this service and you configure the rules accordingly. However, it doesn't handle the logistics of arranging or guaranteeing that same-day delivery. Quiver provides a complete same-hour delivery service within its service area.
Is Advanced Shipping Rate Manager suitable for businesses only operating in one city?
While Advanced Shipping Rate Manager can be used by businesses operating in one city, its extensive features and capabilities are more beneficial for businesses with more complex shipping needs. If you are only looking to implement same-day or hourly shipping and are located where Quiver operates, that may be a better fit.
Does Quiver integrate with all carriers?
Quiver operates its own delivery network and doesn't integrate with external carriers in the same way that Advanced Shipping Rate Manager does. It handles the logistics of the immediate delivery itself.
How easy are these apps to set up?
Advanced Shipping Rate Manager, while feature-rich, may require more configuration and setup due to its complexity. Quiver claims a 'Simple Setup' because it handles much of the logistics behind the scenes, but merchants must still await a setup call to fully integrate.
If I use Advanced Shipping Rate Manager, do I need to find my own eco-friendly delivery options?
Yes. Advanced Shipping Rate Manager is a rate calculation and management tool. It does not inherently provide eco-friendly delivery options. You would need to choose carriers with sustainable practices if that is a priority. Quiver's zero-emission deliveries are a key differentiator.
