Advanced Zipcode Validator vs ArivBy Estimated Delivery Datefor Shopify (2026)
Advanced Zipcode Validator and ArivBy Estimated Delivery Date are both Shopify apps focused on enhancing the customer experience regarding delivery information, but they address distinct needs. Advanced Zipcode Validator prioritizes validation of deliverable areas and rule-based delivery customization. It allows merchants to restrict or permit deliveries based on zipcode, apply different delivery rules per product/collection, and offers features like Cash on Delivery and Exchange & Return support tied to location. ArivBy Estimated Delivery Date, on the other hand, focuses on providing accurate ETAs throughout the entire customer journey, from product page to order confirmation, leveraging rules based on inventory, location, holidays, and more. The key differentiator lies in their core functionality. Advanced Zipcode Validator is suited for merchants needing granular control over *where* they deliver and manage service options based on location. ArivBy Estimated Delivery Date is ideal for merchants focusing on *when* customers will receive their orders and communicating this accurately and dynamically. While both influence the customer's post-purchase expectation and satisfaction, they tackle it from different angles: location-based service control vs. delivery time transparency and accuracy.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with defining *where* they deliver and offering location-specific services like Cash on Delivery, Advanced Zipcode Validator is the better choice. Its ability to whitelist/blacklist zipcodes and create granular delivery rules based on location is invaluable. The higher rating and greater number of reviews also suggest strong user satisfaction.
However, if the priority is providing customers with accurate and dynamic ETAs throughout the entire purchase journey, ArivBy Estimated Delivery Date is the superior option. Its integration with Shopify's inventory system and ability to account for various factors like holidays and custom shipping rules provides a more comprehensive approach to delivery time estimation. ArivBy will be more helpful in markets where consumers are very sensitive to delayed delivery times.

Which app is better for large merchants with complex shipping rules?
Both apps could cater to large merchants but ArivBy Estimated Delivery Date appears better equipped to handle complex shipping rules, due to its flexible rules based on a variety of factors including holidays and stock.
