AE: Order Editing & Upsell vs Codify ‑ Order Editfor Shopify (2026)
AE: Order Editing & Upsell and Codify ‑ Order Edit both aim to reduce order cancellations and improve the post-purchase experience by allowing customers to edit their orders. However, AE: Order Editing & Upsell is clearly positioned as a more robust and feature-rich solution, offering advanced capabilities like Google-powered address validation, post-purchase upsells, Shopify Flow integration, and 3PL integration. Codify ‑ Order Edit, based on the limited available information, seems to offer a simpler, potentially more basic order editing functionality. The significant difference in the number of reviews (184 vs. 7) suggests that AE: Order Editing & Upsell is a much more established and widely used app, providing greater confidence in its reliability and functionality. While both apps have perfect 5/5 ratings, the larger sample size for AE lends more credence to its positive reviews. AE: Order Editing & Upsell appears to target a broader range of merchants, including those looking for advanced features like automation and upsell opportunities, while Codify might be better suited for smaller merchants or those with simpler order editing needs. The key differentiator lies in the feature set; AE boasts features not mentioned for Codify, such as shipping address validation, smart cancellations, and post-purchase upsells. This suggests AE is aimed at a merchant seeking comprehensive control over the customer's post-purchase experience.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a comprehensive order editing solution with advanced features like address validation, post-purchase upsells, and integrations with Shopify Flow and 3PL services, AE: Order Editing & Upsell is the clear choice. Its established user base and wide range of features make it a more robust and reliable option.
Codify ‑ Order Edit, on the other hand, might be suitable for smaller merchants or those with very basic order editing requirements who prioritize simplicity and potentially a lower price point (though pricing is not provided). However, the limited information available and significantly fewer reviews make it a less certain choice compared to AE.
