Our Verdict
For established Shopify stores managing their own fulfillment and facing issues with order cancellations or address errors, AE: Order Editing & Upsell is the clear choice. Its focus on improving the post-purchase customer experience and reducing operational overhead aligns perfectly with their needs. However, if you're a Shopify store primarily relying on dropshipping, especially from Chinese suppliers, Fulfillagent dropshipping is the superior option. Its features are specifically tailored to streamline the dropshipping workflow, manage agents, and ensure efficient order processing.
While both apps share the same rating, the significantly higher number of reviews for AE: Order Editing & Upsell suggests a larger user base and potentially more proven reliability within its target market. Fulfillagent, while promising, needs more reviews to establish broader trust. Ultimately, the best app depends entirely on the merchant's business model and fulfillment strategy.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
AE: Order Editing & Upsell likely has a simpler initial setup, focused on configuring settings for customer order editing. Fulfillagent will involve a more complex onboarding process, requiring the establishment of relationships with agents and integration with their systems.
Which app is better for increasing average order value (AOV)?
AE: Order Editing & Upsell explicitly mentions increasing AOV through post-purchase upsells, making it the better choice for this specific goal. Fulfillagent's impact on AOV is indirect, potentially improving it through better product sourcing and efficiency but not through direct upselling features.
Which app offers better customer support?
Based on the descriptions alone, it's impossible to definitively say. Fulfillagent highlights ticket submission to agents, suggesting a focus on resolving fulfillment-related issues. AE: Order Editing's support is implied through reduced support tickets due to self-service features. Further research (reviews, documentation) is needed.
Which app is more scalable?
Fulfillagent, by connecting merchants with a network of agents, offers greater scalability for dropshipping businesses. As order volume increases, merchants can leverage the agent network to handle fulfillment. AE: Order Editing is scalable to the extent that it automates order editing, but scaling beyond that might require additional resources depending on the level of order volume.
Is Fulfillagent suitable for merchants who don't use dropshipping?
No. Fulfillagent is specifically designed for dropshipping. Merchants not using dropshipping would not benefit from its features.
