Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants struggling with high order cancellation rates and looking to boost average order value, AE: Order Editing & Upsell appears to be the stronger choice, especially with its perfect rating and larger number of reviews indicating better customer satisfaction. Its self-service order editing and upsell features offer direct control over post-purchase revenue optimization.
However, if the primary concern is providing a seamless and informative order tracking experience, especially for international shipments, Hulk Order Status Tracker's comprehensive carrier support and AI-powered delivery timelines make it the more suitable option. While its rating is slightly lower, the focus on real-time tracking and branded delivery pages caters specifically to merchants prioritizing customer communication and transparency in the delivery process.
Common Questions
Which app is better for reducing support tickets?
Both apps can help reduce support tickets, but in different ways. AE: Order Editing & Upsell reduces tickets related to order changes and cancellations by empowering customers to self-manage their orders. Hulk Order Status Tracker reduces tickets related to shipping inquiries by providing real-time tracking information.
Which app is easier to set up?
Without specific user feedback on setup ease, it's hard to definitively say. However, AE: Order Editing & Upsell's integration with Shopify Flow might suggest a more straightforward setup for merchants already familiar with that automation tool. Hulk Order Status Tracker likely requires configuration of tracking settings for the relevant carriers.
Which app is better for B2B businesses?
Hulk Order Status Tracker appears more tailored for B2B businesses with features like masking carrier names and region blocking, providing greater control over the tracking experience for wholesale clients. AE: Order Editing & Upsell, while useful, lacks these specific B2B-focused features.
Does AE: Order Editing & Upsell support mobile apps?
The description doesn't explicitly mention mobile app support, but the compatibility with Shopify's Legacy & New Customer Accounts suggests it works well within the existing Shopify mobile experience. Hulk Order Status Tracker's delivery updates via SMS imply strong mobile integration.
Which app is better for increasing revenue?
AE: Order Editing & Upsell focuses directly on increasing revenue through post-purchase upsells during the order editing process. Hulk Order Status Tracker indirectly contributes to revenue by improving customer satisfaction and potentially driving repeat purchases through product recommendations on the tracking page. However, AE's approach is more directly tied to revenue generation.
