Our Verdict
For established Shopify stores needing a robust, well-tested solution with advanced automation capabilities (Shopify Flow, 3PL integration), AE: Order Editing & Upsell is the clear choice. Its positive reviews and high rating suggest a reliable and effective app. The lack of information about payment capture processes is a minor concern.
Order Editing — EditMyOrder.ai is better suited for newer stores or those prioritizing simplicity and broad compatibility. The 'smart refunds' and 'instant invoices' might be attractive features, but the lack of reviews makes it a riskier option. Merchants need to carefully consider the potential for manual payment capture after order edits, as this could add significant administrative overhead. New stores that can handle that extra step may wish to trial the app given its broad plan compatibility. Further due diligence and a trial period are highly recommended given the absence of reviews.
