AE: Order Editing & Upsell vs Whatsapp Button Profor Shopify (2026)
AE: Order Editing & Upsell and Whatsapp Button Pro address very different needs for Shopify merchants, although both operate within the 'Orders' category. AE: Order Editing & Upsell focuses on empowering customers to self-manage their orders post-purchase, reducing cancellations and support tickets by allowing edits to items and addresses. Its strength lies in streamlining order management, increasing AOV through upsells, and integrating with Shopify Flow for automation. This makes it suitable for merchants prioritizing post-purchase customer experience and operational efficiency. Whatsapp Button Pro, on the other hand, prioritizes immediate customer communication via WhatsApp. Its strength lies in offering direct customer support and sales assistance through the popular messaging platform. While it lacks extensive features, its simplicity and ease of implementation make it an accessible option for merchants who prioritize direct engagement and personalized support. Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's specific goals: improving post-purchase order management and reducing internal workload, or enabling immediate customer communication and support.

Our Verdict
For merchants facing a high volume of order cancellations or support requests related to address changes and order modifications, AE: Order Editing & Upsell is the superior choice. Its focus on self-service and automation can significantly reduce operational burden and improve customer satisfaction, driving revenue through post-purchase upsells.
However, if the primary goal is to offer readily available customer support and engage with customers in real-time via WhatsApp, Whatsapp Button Pro is the more suitable option. It's a straightforward solution for providing quick answers and building relationships, though it doesn't address order management issues directly.
