Affiliate Marketing ReferrLy vs AfterShip Traffic & Adsfor Shopify (2026)
Affiliate Marketing ReferrLy and AfterShip Traffic & Ads offer distinct approaches to driving sales for Shopify merchants in 2026. ReferrLy focuses on leveraging affiliate and referral marketing through ambassadors and influencers. It provides a comprehensive platform for managing affiliate programs, including onboarding, commission rules, automated link generation, and performance tracking. Its key strength lies in building a network of advocates to promote products. AfterShip Traffic & Ads, on the other hand, concentrates on ad exchange with similarly themed stores. This allows merchants to directly promote their products to a relevant audience by displaying ads on partner stores, thus facilitating a cross-promotional marketing strategy. The primary difference lies in their core strategy: ReferrLy utilizes affiliate marketing, empowering individuals to promote products, while AfterShip Traffic & Ads employs an ad exchange network for direct advertising. ReferrLy seems geared towards merchants who value building a brand ambassador network and are willing to invest in affiliate management. AfterShip Traffic & Ads appears ideal for merchants seeking a cost-effective method to generate targeted traffic and are comfortable with a direct advertising approach via ad exchanges with other e-commerce stores.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a structured approach to affiliate marketing, with tools for onboarding, commission management, and performance tracking, Affiliate Marketing ReferrLy is the stronger choice. It provides a complete solution for building and managing an affiliate program.
AfterShip Traffic & Ads is better suited for merchants prioritizing immediate traffic generation through ad exchange. If generating targeted traffic quickly and cost-effectively is the primary objective, and managing an affiliate program is not desired, then AfterShip Traffic & Ads is the more appropriate option. The lower review count, despite a good rating, suggests it may be a newer or niche solution.
