Affiliate Marketing ReferrLy vs Optimise Affiliate Marketingfor Shopify (2026)
Affiliate Marketing ReferrLy and Optimise Affiliate Marketing offer different approaches to affiliate marketing on Shopify. ReferrLy focuses on providing a complete, self-contained affiliate program management tool directly within the Shopify store. It targets merchants who want to build and manage their own affiliate programs using a feature-rich application, complete with affiliate onboarding, custom commission rules, and performance tracking. It emphasizes ease of use with features like automated link creation and post-purchase pop-ups. Optimise Affiliate Marketing, on the other hand, positions itself as a gateway to a broader network of partnerships, affiliates, and influencers through the Optimise Partner Platform. It's designed for merchants seeking access to an existing network and automated campaign management, with a strong emphasis on real-time reporting and performance analytics. This difference highlights a choice between building your own program (ReferrLy) and leveraging a pre-existing network (Optimise), assuming Optimise has successfully grown its network by 2026. The most striking difference, besides the network approach, is the social proof. ReferrLy has a significant number of positive reviews (5/5 from 786 reviews), indicating established user satisfaction and a proven track record. Optimise Affiliate Marketing currently has no reviews, suggesting it is either a new entrant or struggling to gain traction in the Shopify app store, at least as of this data snapshot.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a ready-made affiliate network and automated campaign management, Optimise Affiliate Marketing presents a potential solution, provided the lack of reviews is addressed. It offers the benefit of tapping into an existing pool of affiliates and influencers, potentially saving time and effort in recruitment. However, the absence of reviews raises concerns about its effectiveness and reliability.
Affiliate Marketing ReferrLy is the clear choice for merchants who prioritize building and managing their own affiliate programs. The high rating and significant number of positive reviews indicate a well-received and effective tool. Its comprehensive feature set, including affiliate onboarding, custom commissions, and automated links, offers greater control and customizability. The existing social proof greatly reduces the risk.
