AgeX ‑ age verification popup vs Omnibus ‑ EU Compliant Pricefor Shopify (2026)
AgeX ‑ age verification popup and Omnibus ‑ EU Compliant Price serve distinctly different purposes within the 'Legal' category on the Shopify app store. Our Verdict
The choice between AgeX and Omnibus hinges entirely on a merchant's specific needs. If a store sells age-restricted products, AgeX is the clear winner due to its comprehensive age verification features and geo-based restrictions. The higher number of reviews also suggests more widespread use and potential reliability. However, if a merchant sells to customers in the European Union and must comply with the Omnibus Directive, Omnibus is essential for automatically tracking and displaying the lowest price over the past 30 days. While Omnibus has fewer reviews, its focused functionality directly addresses a specific legal requirement. For a merchant with *both* age-restricted products *and* EU customers, both apps would be needed.
