Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants needing a highly customizable checkout experience with AI-powered features and advanced rule-based conditions, AI Checkout Extensions Pro :MT might be the better choice, assuming they have the technical expertise or resources to manage its complexity. However, the very low number of reviews is a risk factor. For merchants prioritizing ease of use and focusing specifically on increasing order value through free gifts and promotional offers, EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift is a stronger recommendation, with its significantly higher number of positive reviews indicating a reliable and effective solution. Its straightforward approach to BOGO and Buy X Get Y offers makes it a compelling option for simpler marketing campaigns.
Given the significant difference in the number of reviews, and the specific focus on a very popular type of promotion, EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift would be a better choice for most store owners. Its 5/5 rating with nearly 800 reviews is a far safer bet than the other app's 4.3/5 and mere 11 reviews.
