Alarmify ‑ Inventory Alarm vs Hey!Scarcity Low Stock Counterfor Shopify (2026)
Alarmify ‑ Inventory Alarm and Hey!Scarcity Low Stock Counter both aim to improve sales by addressing stock levels, but they do so through different mechanisms. Alarmify focuses on recapturing lost sales by notifying customers when out-of-stock products are back in stock. It emphasizes data-driven restock decisions and prioritizes privacy with GDPR and CCPA compliance. Hey!Scarcity, on the other hand, centers around creating urgency and scarcity by visually displaying stock levels on product pages, encouraging immediate purchases. The key difference lies in their approaches. Alarmify is reactive, targeting customers who have already expressed interest in out-of-stock items. Hey!Scarcity is proactive, attempting to influence purchasing decisions in real-time by highlighting limited availability. This makes Alarmify ideal for stores that frequently experience stockouts and want to retain customer interest, while Hey!Scarcity is better suited for stores looking to boost conversion rates by leveraging psychological triggers like scarcity and urgency.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing regaining lost sales due to stockouts and valuing data privacy, Alarmify ‑ Inventory Alarm is the better choice. Its focus on GDPR/CCPA compliance and back-in-stock notifications makes it a responsible and effective option. However, given the low number of reviews, it may be a newer app or cater to a very specific niche.
For merchants seeking to immediately impact conversion rates by creating a sense of urgency and scarcity, Hey!Scarcity Low Stock Counter is the more established and likely more effective option. The higher number of reviews suggests a broader user base and potentially more robust features. It's crucial, however, to consider if scarcity tactics align with the brand's values and customer base.
