AliExpress Reviews Importer vs Commentify: Customer Commentsfor Shopify (2026)
AliExpress Reviews Importer and Commentify: Customer Comments represent two distinct approaches to enhancing customer engagement on Shopify stores. AliExpress Reviews Importer is positioned as a focused tool for quickly importing product reviews specifically from AliExpress, primarily targeting merchants who dropship or sell products sourced from that platform. It emphasizes speed and ease of importing reviews, exporting to CSV, and language alignment to provide initial social proof. Commentify, on the other hand, provides a more comprehensive platform for collecting various types of customer feedback, including product reviews, blog comments, testimonials, and even enabling community forums. Its strength lies in fostering ongoing customer interaction and providing moderation tools. The target audiences for these apps differ significantly. AliExpress Reviews Importer is suitable for merchants prioritizing quick setup and initial social proof from existing AliExpress reviews. Commentify is designed for merchants focused on building a more engaged customer base by encouraging ongoing communication, gathering diverse feedback, and fostering community around their brand. The key difference lies in the source and nature of the feedback: AliExpress Reviews Importer pulls existing data from AliExpress, whereas Commentify generates feedback directly from the store's own customers.

Our Verdict
For merchants dropshipping or primarily sourcing from AliExpress, AliExpress Reviews Importer is the clear choice for quickly populating product pages with reviews. Its ease of use and focus on AliExpress import make it a simple solution to address the 'no reviews' problem, and the CSV export allows further integration of those reviews. However, it is crucial to verify the reviews for accuracy and relevance.
Commentify is ideal for merchants seeking to build a vibrant online community around their brand and gather comprehensive customer feedback. While it requires more effort in moderation and engagement, the potential for SEO improvement, organic review generation, and direct customer interaction makes it a powerful tool for long-term growth. If the goal is genuine, ongoing customer feedback and community building, Commentify is the better option, even with a slightly lower rating and more reviews at the current time.
