AliExpress Reviews Importer vs Rapid Reviews: Product Reviewsfor Shopify (2026)
AliExpress Reviews Importer and Rapid Reviews: Product Reviews cater to different needs within the product review space on Shopify. AliExpress Reviews Importer focuses on quickly importing reviews from AliExpress and exporting them to a CSV file, making it suitable for merchants who primarily source products from AliExpress and need a way to bootstrap their initial review base. This app is lightweight, focusing on a singular task. Its primary appeal is the speed and ease of importing existing AliExpress reviews. However, it lacks native review display functionality, requiring integration with another review app. The single review displayed may not inspire confidence in its effectiveness. Rapid Reviews: Product Reviews is a full-fledged product review management system. It provides features such as collecting, managing, and displaying customer reviews with a focus on page speed and user experience. The app supports a range of features like Q&A, deep search, photo & video reviews, and automated review requests. The breadth of features, including native language support, indicate it is designed for merchants who are focused on actively building and leveraging a strong review presence directly within their Shopify store. The large number of reviews also suggests a higher level of user adoption and reliability compared to AliExpress Reviews Importer.

Our Verdict
For merchants just starting out who primarily source products from AliExpress, the AliExpress Reviews Importer might be a reasonable temporary solution for quickly populating their store with initial reviews. However, they must already have a review app installed on their store. However, due to the minimal reviews, this decision must be carefully made. It is not a long-term strategy, as it doesn't facilitate organic review collection.
For most Shopify merchants focused on building a reputable brand and fostering customer engagement through reviews, Rapid Reviews: Product Reviews is the superior choice. Its comprehensive feature set, focus on page speed, and customer review gathering capabilities make it a better investment for sustainable growth and increased conversions. The large number of reviews is a stronger indication of the app's effectiveness compared to AliExpress Review Importer.
