AliExpress Reviews Importer vs Review Collect by Scalyfor Shopify (2026)
Both AliExpress Reviews Importer and Review Collect by Scaly aim to enhance product pages with reviews, but they take fundamentally different approaches. AliExpress Reviews Importer focuses on *importing* reviews specifically from AliExpress, offering a quick way to populate product pages with existing customer feedback. It allows users to export those reviews to a CSV file, seemingly for use with other review apps. The target audience appears to be merchants dropshipping from AliExpress who need a quick way to add social proof. Review Collect by Scaly, on the other hand, is likely a comprehensive review collection and display solution (although specific feature details are missing from the provided data), suggesting a broader focus on generating and managing reviews directly from a merchant's own customers. The crucial difference lies in the *source* of the reviews. AliExpress Reviews Importer depends on pre-existing reviews from another platform, offering limited control over content. Review Collect by Scaly likely focuses on *collecting* reviews from *your* actual customers, giving you control over authenticity and the ongoing growth of your review base. While both apps share a 5/5 rating, the vastly different number of reviews (1 vs. 79) suggests that Review Collect by Scaly has significantly more users and potentially a longer track record and more established reputation.

Our Verdict
For merchants rapidly launching stores with products sourced from AliExpress, AliExpress Reviews Importer offers a convenient, though potentially ethically questionable, solution to quickly populate product pages with reviews. The ability to export the reviews to CSV for import into another system gives it flexibility. However, given the app's very low review count, caution is warranted.
Review Collect by Scaly, while lacking detailed information in the provided data, is likely the better choice for merchants focused on building a trustworthy brand and collecting authentic reviews from their own customer base. Its higher review count suggests greater adoption and reliability. Unless you are solely reliant on AliExpress and need a very quick review import fix, Review Collect by Scaly will likely provide a more sustainable long-term review strategy.
