Our Verdict
For merchants seeking to improve their local delivery and pickup operations, Alpaca: Pack, Pickup, Deliver is the clear choice. Its robust features, user-friendly interface, and dedicated fulfillment dashboard make it a comprehensive solution for managing local logistics. The higher rating and significantly more reviews further indicate greater user satisfaction and a proven track record.
fcon QR Biller is exclusively beneficial for Swiss merchants utilizing Swiss QR payment slips. If your business operates outside Switzerland or does not rely on this specific payment method, this app will not be relevant. While it has a decent rating, the limited number of reviews suggests a smaller user base and potentially less established support community compared to Alpaca.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Alpaca claims 'Easy + fast to install, with no code required', while fcon QR Biller requires inserting a line of code into your invoice layout. Alpaca appears to have a simpler initial setup.
Does Alpaca support international businesses?
Alpaca is not geographically limited by the app description. It can be used by businesses worldwide, while fcon QR Biller is designed specifically for Swiss businesses.
Which app helps me get paid faster?
fcon QR Biller explicitly states, 'Receive your money faster with the order number in the comment.' Alpaca focuses on order fulfillment and doesn't directly address payment speed.
Can I use both apps at the same time?
It's possible to use both, but their functionalities are largely independent. You would only benefit from both if you are a Swiss merchant needing both local delivery management (Alpaca) and QR-based invoice payments (fcon QR Biller).
Does Alpaca or fcon QR Biller store customer payment information?
fcon QR Biller's description states that client information, orders, and transactions are *not* stored on the server. Alpaca's description does not explicitly state that payment information is stored, implying that it does not handle direct payment processing but relies on Shopify's payment gateway.
