ALT SEO AI Alt Text Generator vs Redirect Hero ‑ Fix 404 linksfor Shopify (2026)
ALT SEO AI Alt Text Generator and Redirect Hero ‑ Fix 404 links, while both categorized under SEO, address fundamentally different aspects of search engine optimization for Shopify merchants. ALT SEO focuses on improving image SEO and accessibility by automatically generating descriptive alt text using AI. Its strength lies in its ability to automate a tedious task, enhance keyword relevance, and ensure compliance with accessibility standards like ADA, EAA, and WCAG. It's aimed at merchants seeking to improve their search ranking through better image optimization and cater to a wider audience. Redirect Hero, on the other hand, focuses on preventing and resolving 404 errors by redirecting broken links. The key difference lies in their respective areas of SEO focus. ALT SEO enhances image visibility, while Redirect Hero improves site navigation and user experience by ensuring visitors don't encounter dead links. While ALT SEO uses AI to generate content, Redirect Hero's value is in its ability to identify and fix technical issues that can negatively impact SEO performance and customer experience. Consequently, they target distinct merchant needs, although both contribute to overall SEO health. One app fixes broken links; the other improves how search engines find the images on your store.
