Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a cost-effective and customizable solution with a proven track record, AltGenius: Alt Text Optimizer is a solid choice. Its scheduled updates and template-based system offer control over the alt text generation process. However, the lower review count of Describerry suggests it's either very new or has a smaller user base.
For merchants prioritizing a premium, fully automated solution that focuses on brand alignment and covers all images on their store, Describerry ‑ Image ALT Texts might be a better fit. Its AI-assisted approach promises accurate and brand-consistent alt texts, but its limited reviews mean its long-term reliability is less clear than AltGenius.
