Our Verdict
The choice between AltGenius and Redirect Hero depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs. AltGenius is ideal for stores heavily reliant on visual content, those seeking to improve image search ranking, or those committed to accessibility. If a merchant has a large product catalog or struggles to manage alt text manually, AltGenius offers significant time savings and SEO benefits. Redirect Hero is better suited for merchants experiencing frequent 404 errors or those who want to proactively maintain website health. Given the higher rating and review count, Redirect Hero appears to be more widely adopted and effective at its specific task, though AltGenius addresses a niche but valuable area of SEO and accessibility.
