Alva Courses vs LinkIT ‑ Sell Digital Productsfor Shopify (2026)
Both Alva Courses and LinkIT ‑ Sell Digital Products are Shopify apps designed to help merchants sell digital products, but they cater to different needs and technical skill levels. Alva Courses positions itself as an all-in-one solution for creating and selling online courses directly within Shopify, emphasizing ease of use and a comprehensive feature set like video hosting, quizzes, and certificates. It aims to empower merchants to transform their expertise into revenue with minimal technical overhead. In contrast, LinkIT focuses on providing a flexible solution for selling existing digital assets hosted on various platforms like Google Drive, YouTube, and Dropbox. The key difference lies in their approach to content creation and hosting. Alva Courses provides a platform for building courses from scratch and hosting them natively within the Shopify store, providing a streamlined customer experience and keeping customers within the store ecosystem. LinkIT, on the other hand, leverages existing content and infrastructure, offering a more straightforward integration for merchants who already have digital assets stored elsewhere. This makes it a potentially faster and more cost-effective solution for those who prioritize speed of deployment and flexibility in content storage. Both apps have only one review each, so their high ratings shouldn't be taken as definitive proof of quality or reliability.

Our Verdict
Alva Courses is a better choice for merchants who want a fully integrated course creation and hosting platform directly within their Shopify store, especially those who value a seamless customer experience and are willing to invest time in building out courses. It's ideal for merchants who don't have existing digital assets or prefer a structured learning environment. LinkIT, however, is more suitable for merchants who already have digital products hosted on platforms like Google Drive or YouTube and want a quick and easy way to sell them. It prioritizes flexibility and speed of deployment over advanced course creation features, making it a good fit for merchants with minimal technical expertise and a need for immediate monetization. Given the limited review data, both apps warrant careful consideration and potentially a trial period before committing.
