Amai COD ‑ Cash on Delivery vs Local delivery + Pickup ‑ SEfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, merchants choosing between Amai COD ‑ Cash on Delivery and Local delivery + Pickup ‑ SE face a stark contrast. Amai COD focuses solely on enabling Cash on Delivery (COD) payments, and based on the low rating and minimal reviews, its execution might be questionable. Local delivery + Pickup ‑ SE, on the other hand, presents itself as a comprehensive solution for managing local deliveries and store pickups. It boasts a significantly higher rating based on a large number of reviews, indicating strong user satisfaction. Its feature set extends far beyond just payment options, encompassing route optimization, driver management, real-time tracking, and customer notifications. Local delivery + Pickup ‑ SE targets businesses needing a robust system to handle local fulfillment logistics. It aims to streamline the entire delivery and pickup process, from scheduling and route planning to driver management and customer communication. Amai COD, by contrast, appeals to businesses wanting to offer COD as a payment option without the need for extensive delivery management features. The limited information available for Amai COD makes it difficult to accurately assess its strengths beyond its core function of enabling COD payments. The difference in reviews and feature sets suggests different tiers of merchant needs; Amai COD targets smaller merchants needing basic COD support, whereas Local delivery + Pickup ‑ SE is geared towards larger merchants requiring advanced delivery and pickup capabilities.

Our Verdict
For merchants solely needing to offer Cash on Delivery without advanced logistics management, Amai COD might suffice if further research confirms its reliability. However, its low rating and lack of reviews raise concerns. If merchants require a complete solution for managing local deliveries and pickups, including scheduling, route optimization, driver management, and customer communication, then Local delivery + Pickup ‑ SE is the clear choice. Its strong rating and extensive features suggest a reliable and effective platform.
Given the vast difference in ratings, reviews, and feature sets, Local delivery + Pickup ‑ SE is the generally recommended app for merchants in 2026 requiring more than just basic Cash on Delivery functionality. Amai COD should only be considered after a thorough evaluation of its current performance and reliability, and only if the merchant's needs are extremely simple and focused solely on COD payments.
