Amhook vs Ezz Cart Countfor Shopify (2026)
Amhook and Ezz Cart Count, while both falling under the 'Social trust - Other' category on Shopify, address very different merchant needs. Amhook, focusing on understanding customer hesitations and providing a platform for product-specific Q&A, targets merchants struggling with abandoned carts and seeking to improve conversion rates by directly addressing customer concerns. Amhook aims to supplement or replace standard FAQs with a more interactive and responsive question system. Ezz Cart Count, on the other hand, focuses on social proof by displaying cart counts to potentially nudge hesitant buyers towards completing their purchases. The primary distinction lies in their approach. Amhook is proactive in addressing customer queries and objections directly, providing a platform for interaction. Ezz Cart Count, conversely, relies on a passive display of social activity to influence purchasing decisions. While both aim to increase sales, they do so through fundamentally different mechanisms. Based solely on the available data, Ezz Cart Count has demonstrable social validation, while Amhook lacks any. The difference in language also limits Amhook to French-speaking customers only.

Our Verdict
Given the available data, Ezz Cart Count appears to be the safer choice for merchants prioritizing validated solutions and immediate social proof tactics. The app has a perfect rating based on five reviews, suggesting a positive user experience. Amhook, while potentially offering valuable insights into customer concerns, lacks any reviews or ratings, making it a riskier proposition. It also has the limitation of targeting only French-speaking customers.
Amhook might be suitable for Shopify merchants who are targeting a French-speaking audience, are particularly struggling to identify customer objections leading to cart abandonment, and are willing to take a chance on a new and unproven app. However, Ezz Cart Count's existing social validation and clear social proof focus make it a more readily recommendable option for most merchants seeking to quickly influence buyer behavior and boost sales.
