Amhook vs Sleek Social Sharingfor Shopify (2026)
Amhook and Sleek Social Sharing represent distinct approaches to enhancing a Shopify store's performance. Amhook, with its French-language focus and a focus on customer understanding, aims to reduce cart abandonment by allowing customers to directly ask product-related questions and bolstering the FAQ section. Its core value proposition is identifying the reasons for non-purchase. On the other hand, Sleek Social Sharing prioritizes increasing product visibility and driving traffic through social sharing, providing a simple, customizable way for customers to share products across numerous channels. It aims to increase sales by improving reach through social networks. The key difference lies in their strategic goals: Amhook focuses on on-site conversion by addressing customer concerns directly, while Sleek Social Sharing concentrates on off-site promotion through social channels. Amhook targets merchants struggling with unclear customer objections and seeking to improve their FAQ and product information. Sleek Social Sharing caters to merchants wanting to leverage social media for increased product visibility and sales. Both apps share the 'Social trust - Other' category on Shopify, but their actual functionalities are very different. One of the most significant differences is user confidence reflected in app ratings. Sleek Social Sharing has a perfect rating and a couple of reviews, indicating good satisfaction and a relatively stable product. Amhook's 0 rating with no reviews implies that it's either a very new app or has been available with no user feedback, making it difficult to assess its quality and reliability.

Our Verdict
If your primary challenge is understanding why customers are leaving your site without purchasing and you're comfortable with a potentially nascent app (Amhook), Amhook might be worth exploring. However, given the lack of reviews, proceed with caution and potentially look for alternatives if immediate results are needed. It could be suitable for merchants primarily operating in French-speaking markets.
On the other hand, if your goal is to boost product visibility and drive traffic through social media, Sleek Social Sharing is the more reliable option given its positive rating and ease of use. It's a straightforward solution for merchants seeking to leverage social sharing to increase sales. For most Shopify stores, the quick win offered by social sharing will likely be the better choice.
